Brays Bayou Trail


The Brays Bayou Trail meanders along Brays Bayou from Gessner to MacGregor Park. This approximately 12 mile trail along the bayou was built by Harris County and is maintained by County Precinct 3, Precinct 1, and Precinct 2.

Buffalo Bayou Trail - Shepherd to Sabine

 

This project is for the construction of new bicyclist and pedestrian trails along Buffalo Bayou from Shepherd to Sabine. This a very active area for local residents to walk, run and cycle, and is adjacent to Spotts Park and the historic Glenwood Cemetery.

CBD Access Bikeway Network - North


The Central Business District (CBD) On-street Bikeway offers 63 miles of bikeways inside the 610 Loop area. From W. 12th Street to Cavalcade, and from Tierwester to Lawndale at Brays Bayou, the CBD Bikeway can take you to town.

Columbia Tap Rails to Trails


The Columbia Tap Trail is a Rails-to-Trials conversion project which consists of over 4 miles of a 10-foot wide, concrete, multi-use hike and bike trail along the old Columbia Tap railroad.

Halls Bayou Trails

 

The Halls Bayou Trail consist of 3 miles of a 10-foot wide hike and bike trail . The trail runs from Hirsh to Bretshire Street Halls Bayou with connections to Tidwell Park and Forest Brook High School.

Harrisburg Sunset Trail

 

The Harrisburg-Sunset Trail is a Rails to Trails project offering bicyclists and pedestrians over 5 miles of trail and on-street bikeways just east of downtown Houston.

Heritage Corridor Bayou Trails

 

The Heritage Corridor Bayou Trail consists of an east and west segments along White Oak Bayou. The Heritage Corridor West begins at Stude Park in the Heights and traverses east along White Oak Bayou to Buffalo Bayou at Lockwood.

Little White Oak Bayou Trail


The Little White Oak Bayou Trail will provide a half-mile long linear park along the bayou with an on-street connection to the existing Cavalcade on-street segment.

MKT / SP-Rails to Trails


The MKT/SP Trail is a Rails-to-Trials conversion project which consists of 4.62 miles of a 10-foot wide, concrete, multi-use hike and bike trail along the old Missouri, Kansas, Texas Southern Pacific railroad.

North Houston On Street Bikeway Network


The North Houston on-street bikeway provides 41.3 miles of bike lanes and designated bike routes outside of the 610 Loop North, from Hirsch to Brittmore, and from Pinemont to Westview.

Texas Medical Center - East


The Texas Medical Center/Greenway Plaza/Galleria (TMC) On-street Bikeway includes over 52 miles of bike routes connecting the area around the Medical Center, from the south side of Buffalo Bayou to Cambridge and Calhoun, just south of Brays Bayou, and the area just west of Beltway 8, at Lakeside and Lakeside Forest.

West Houston on Street Bike Network


The West Houston on-street bikeway offers 27.8 miles of bike lanes and designated bike routes west of Beltway 8, between Old Katy Road and Richmond. This includes a planned extension ( 1.2 miles) from Richmond at Ashford Park, past West Oaks Mall, to George Bush Park, where it will connect to a planned Harris County Trail around the park. The bikeway is located in Key Map grids 487, 488, and 489 A-Z.

West White Oak Bayou Trail

 


The West White Oak Bayou Trail offers bicyclists and pedestrians almost 5 miles of 10-foot wide concrete and asphalt trail with 2-foot shoulders on each side. The trail is lighted and includes railings in some areas. The trail runs along the bayou and T. C. Jester Park, parallel to T. C. Jester Boulevard, from 11th Street to Pinemont.

Westchase District Trail

The Westchase District Trail North is a 4 mile multi-use trail that runs along a green space west of Beltway 8. The trail begins south of Buffalo Bayou and ends at Richmond. The trail connects to the existing on-street bikeways at Briar Forest, Walnut Bend, and Wilcrest.
